Why does pro audio/dj power amplifiers have way more power for cheaper than home power amplifier?
Just looking for a basic high power amplifier for a simple 2 channel stereo system. Would rather have seperates (power and pre amp) with a lot of power than a receiver. How come pro audio looks like a much better deal?

Because most likely you also have to buy allot of stuff for it and also Comsumer amps are probably allot mo compplex. DJ amps are usually very simple (to make) where as comsumer amps also have allot of built in components to make it easier for th customer.

Car audio helppp! im trying to wire up my car and i am not sure of how to do this, i have the stereo, a box wi?
th 2 12's in it, a Kenwood KGC-9400 graphic equalizer, and a Kenwood KAC-901 stereo high power amplifier, in which order and how do i proceed to hook them up?? i tried getting the instruction manuals off the kenwood website but they dont have them for the particular products that i have, help?

First of all, what kind of stereo do you have? If you're running the OEM stereo, I would recommend buying an aftermarket. If you want to stick with the OEM, you're going to have to run a remote wire from the ignition switch and two sets of RCA adapters from your stereo - not worth it. Hook up the aftermarket stereo to the factory wiring harness with the hot, ground, and memory wires (most likely the red, black, and yellow). Don't hook up the speaker wires. If the stereo has two sets of RCA outputs, you're good to go. Otherwise, you need RCA splitters/Y-cables. Splice your equalizer's hot and ground cables in with the wiring harness, and attach one set of RCA cables from the back of the stereo to the equalizer. Then attach all of the speaker wires to the equalizer's wiring harness. Run an amplifier wiring kit, with the red power cable from the battery, through the firewall, and back to where the amp will be. Be sure to install an inline fuse to protect the amp. Run the remote wire from the stereo wiring harness to the location of the amp. Then run a second set of RCA cables from the stereo to the same location. Connect the ground wire to a solid bare metal area (normally to a bolt connected to the frame) as close to the amp location as possible. Connect all of your wires. Make sure all of the wires are properly wrapped, protected, and secured. Make sure there are no shorts or loops in your wiring, and you should be ready to go.

Can I use a normal Stereo Amplifier (from a home stereo) to power PA speakers or a Bass (guitar) Speaker?
I'm building my own bass rig and PA speakers, and want something cheaper to power it. As long as the Wattage is high enough would a home stereo amp work?

Yes. But don't expect the quality of a real guitar amp.

How can i power my car stereo , amplifier ( 200 watts max ) , equalizer ( with built in 200 watt max amp)?
i have a car battery charger , but as we all know that doesn't last long with an amp at high volumes , the equalizer shouldn't need to much power as am only going to use 2 tweeters and 2 little speakers for high frequencies and midrange and the amp will be running a subwoofer. I have a Pioneer Head unit DEH-P7600. I know quiet a lot about car audio and i can easily hook up a car setup in a car but i just wanted to know how i can hook it up in the house and not damage the equipment. Your help will really be appreciated. PLEASE HELP ME

Umm....well.....lets see. You are retarded. Also, you are retarded. And lastly, why would you do that? To answer your question, you will need a really big AC to DC converter. Next you will need a clue. Despite what you think, it won't sound as good as it does in a car. Car speakers are designed with small areas in mind. They sound they project is not intended for a big room. If you are looking to make a shop radio for your garage, ditch the EQ and Amp and use just the deck with just the speakers. A high wattage computer power supply would work for just a head unit. But it would still be better to walk down to walmart and buy a boombox.
